On The Flip Side’s Event Management, Marketing & Technical Production Course is your chance to dive into the world of music events! Designed for people aged 16–24, this program at The Brocas, St Clair lets you explore one of three streams – event management, marketing, or technical production – while being part of a crew that makes gigs happen.  The marketing and event management team will work closely together throughout the course.

You’ll join a team and learn the ins and outs of the industry, and then put your new skills to the test by planning and running an all ages gig.

Event management: explore artist and venue bookings and liaising, ticketing, worksheets and venue setup

Marketing: explore social media, creating assets, promotion, design, photography and videography

Technical production: explore sound and lighting, including understanding audio and lighting systems, stage setups, soundchecks and audio and lighting operation. 

Participants:

  • Are 16-24 years old

  • Want to know how to plan and run live music events

  • Are interested in working in the live events industry
